A small airplane went down during a late-night flight last week near Yellowstone National Park, claiming the lives of three people.

A Lehi family is mourning the loss of a beloved husband and father after he died in a tragic plane crash near the West Yellowstone Airport.

The pilot and only occupant of a kit-built airplane was killed in a crash on the Pawnee National Grassland on Colorado’s Eastern Plains last week, federal officials said Friday.

Three people were rescued safely after a small Cessna aircraft made an emergency water landing near Mukilteo Lighthouse Park on Sunday evening, according to city officials and the U.S. Coast Guard. The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. near a boat dock at the park, located at 609 Front Street.
