The time has come. Starting Wednesday, passengers nationwide must a use state-issued ID or license that is “REAL ID” complaint to travel within the US.

Most airports around the United States operated smoothly as new REAL ID requirements took effect because travelers without the updated document were still allowed to move through security easily.
