The Welsh actor and his wife owned two houses in the Palisades, both of which were destroyed by the blazes, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The Pacific Palisades home of the Welsh actor, who turned 87 on Dec. 31, has burned to the ground, as seen in photos obtained by PEOPLE. The scene shows just a few concrete pillars, scorched wood and a stone pathway at the property, where smoke still rose from the rubble.

Oscar nominee Anthony Hopkins also lost his $6 million (around ₹51 crores) property, which was destroyed in the Los Angeles wildfires.
