The BJP has named 29 candidates in its first list. The 70-member Delhi Assembly will go into polls in 2025 but the Election Commission of India is yet to announce the dates. As per reports, the polls might be conducted in February this year.

Kalkaji is currently represented by Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi, who won this seat in the 2020 assembly poll.

The BJP on Saturday released its first list of 29 candidates for the Delhi Assembly polls, fielding former MP Parvesh Verma from the New Delhi seat against ex-chief minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.
