AD John Cohen has learned much from Auburn basketball coach Bruce Pearl in his time on the Plains. Although, Cohen thinks some "lose sight" of Pearl's excellence. Here's why.

When Bruce Pearl arrived at Auburn in 2014, the program was gasping for relevance. It had been over a decade since the Tigers danced in March Madness, and Auburn Arena often echoed with empty seats and unmet expectations.

Several key people were in attendance to watch Pearl’s record-setting win including athletic director John Cohen and Auburn University president Dr. Chris Roberts. Current players dumped water on him to celebrate, and former players filmed videos of themselves congratulating him on accomplishing the feat.

With Auburn's win over Missouri on Saturday, Bruce Pearl tied Joel Eaves as the winningest coach in the program's history, with 213 victories.
