Saquon Barkley’s return to MetLife Stadium could not have gone much better for the Eagles. Their free-agent addition needed just three quarters to finish 13 yards shy of his career-high in rushing yards.

First of all, the Eagles won by enough points, 28-3, so head coach Nick Sirianni didn't have to taunt fans for booing him and his team. It was the Eagles' most lopsided regular-season win since a 26-point beatdown of the Giants in Dec. 2022. That was followed by a 31-point win over the Giants in the divisional round of the playoffs a month later.

Greg Joseph kicked a 38-yard field goal for the Giants in the final seconds of the first half. Daboll drew some sarcastic cheers early in the fourth quarter when he pulled quarterback Daniel Jones for Drew Lock. A battered Jones finished 14 of 21 for 99 yards, with rookie receiver Malik Nabers catching four for 41 yards.
