WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal judge on Friday barred Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes from entering Washington, D.C., without the court’s approval after President Donald Trump commuted the far-right extremist group leader’s 18-year prison sentence for orchestrating an attack on the U.S. Capitol four years ago.

Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes, the far-right extremist group leader convicted of seditious conspiracy in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack, has visited Capitol Hill after President Donald Trump commuted his 18-year prison sentence.

A federal judge on Friday barred Stewart Rhodes, the former leader of the far-right Oath Keepers group, and some other Jan. 6 defendants from entering Washington, D.C., as well as the U.S. Capitol, as a condition of their release from prison.
