The team came about in an equally random fashion, when Charli ran into Harris and Ohs at a bar in New York’s Lower East Side in May. Harris, a friend of Charli’s, introduced her to Ohs, and when he told her about his filmmaking process, she said, “I want to do one,” as the director told Variety.

Charli XCX will go from Brat star to movie star next year. Variety revealed Monday that the Brat singer will star in the Pete Ohs-directed movie Erupcja, which filmed in Poland over the summer. She’ll act alongside Jeremy O. Harris and Lena Góra.

But while the former president may identify as (or at least relate to the struggles of being) a 365 party girl, the actual artist behind the phenomenon was trying to take a few days off from it all to film a secret project in Poland.
