COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A deadly shooting involving police in Colorado Springs was under investigation Tuesday morning. At about 2 a.m. the Colorado Springs Police Department posted to social media the shooting happened in the 5100 block of Prairie Grass Ln. The neighborhood is east of Powers Boulevard and south of Stetson Hills Boulevard.

The department says the shooting occurred around 2:20 p.m. During the argument, police say, one man pulled out a handgun, shot the other man and fled. The victim died of his injuries and now police are looking for the suspect.

They confirmed one person died after an argument that escalated in the parking lot of Atlas Middle School where a youth football game was being played nearby. Police said one male took out a handgun and fired at the other male. On Tuesday, police identified the victim as 29-year-old Donte Maurice Price.

Police tell 11 News they are still working through the details and trying to nail down a suspect but say the suspect is still out there. 11 News spoke with people who say they watched everything happen and are traumatized by what took place Saturday afternoon.
