An Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in the Mezzah suburb west of the Syrian capital Damascus, killing seven civilians and injuring 11 others, Syrian state media reported on Tuesday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says nine civilians were killed alongside two Hezbollah members in the attack.

The Syrian defense ministry said on Tuesday that an Israeli airstrike targeted a building in the capital Damascus, killing seven civilians. A war monitor said foreigners were among the casualties.

Israel has also been targeting residential areas in Lebanon and Iran, resulting in civilian casualties and massive fires
