Domino's Pizza reported strong third-quarter profit as order volumes increased, but its shares fell Thursday morning as revenue missed expectations and it cut its full-year global retail sales growth outlook.

Even so, Domino’s growth remains relatively robust versus competitors including Papa John’s International Inc. and Pizza Hut, which is owned by Yum! Brands Inc. Both of those pizza chains have posted same-store sales declines in recent quarters, with analysts expecting that trend to continue in the third quarter.
