The helmet made its debut in the original 2000 Gladiator film on Maximus Decimus Meridius (Russell Crowe) and will likely return in the sequel flick. Fans, however, are more excited about getting a real-life version of MF DOOM ’s iconic mask, which is based off of the movie’s helmet.

Gladiator 2 is out next month, so it was only a matter of time before we caught a glimpse of a popcorn bucket that embodied all of the decadence that eventually led Rome to collapse. It’s a call back to the helmet Maximus Decimus Meridius wears in the first movie which will presumably have a cameo in the sequel.

Regal Cinemas has announced its Gladiator II campaign will include not only a popcorn bucket, but also a collectible cup; both of which will wear the helmet that Maximus Decimus Meridius himself wore in the past. As you can see in the announcement shared below from the company’s social media presence, it’s pretty awesome to look at:

Of course, with any big movie release in theaters nowadays, the merchandise has also been revealed. This film will feature a popcorn bucket and cup with the iconic Gladiator mask from the first film.

Okay, so AMC isn’t really releasing one of its infamous custom concession containers to commemorate DOOM’s high-concept, edible-inspired album… but you can pretend it is with the bucket for Gladiator 2, which fans have noted bears a distinctive resemblance to the rap supervillain’s trademark mask.
