Béla Fleck is the latest to join the growing list of artists who have withdrawn from performing at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the wake of Donald Trump adding his name to the venue.
Kennedy Center President Richard Grenell raged on social media after Grammy-winning banjo player Béla Fleck became the latest artist to cancel on the venue.
Within hours of the center’s board ostensibly adding Trump’s name, a construction crew had added the new title to the building.
Trump’s year long effort to take over the Kennedy Center began when he started stuffing the board with sycophants, the more shameless the better.
Toby Morton shared a screenshot of the message to Threads, where he wrote: "I'm speechless and incredibly grateful."
The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts adopted new bylaws earlier this year that limited voting to presidentially appointed trustees.

Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH) sued the Trump administration seeking to remove President Donald Trump’s name from the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, calling the move unconstitutional. Beatty, an ex officio board member,
