The Trump administration said it is moving quickly to purge the military of about 1,000 service members who have self-identified as having gender dysphoria.

The Supreme Court ruled that the Trump administration could begin enforcing the ban while litigation plays out in lower courts.

The Pentagon will immediately begin moving as many as 1,000 openly identifying transgender service members out of the military and give others 30 days to self-identify.
