The most miserable day of the year has to be the day after Christmas. You spend the previous 48 hours having a blast with your family. You're wrapping and exchanging gifts, eating food, watching sports and just generally having a grand old time.

To many, Dec. 26 is simply the day after Christmas or the second night of Hanukkah. But to others, it's Boxing Day.

The day started with a football match between fishermen and fireman on the beach before crews took to the seas in fancy dress for a raft race. The football match has been held every year since 1893 and the raft race since 1971.
