Fortnite added the Darth Vader AI with the latest update, but this move has caused a lot of controversy and some legal trouble.

The mobile version of Fortnite was banned from Apple’s and Google’s app stores near the height of its popularity.

On Monday, SAG-AFTRA filed an unfair labor practice charge with the National Labor Relations Board against Epic subsidiary Llama Productions for implementing an AI-generated Darth Vader voice in Fortnite on Friday without first notifying or bargaining with the union, as their contract requires.

The actors’ union that began striking against video game companies last summer has filed an unfair labor practice charge against Epic Games, the creator of Fortnite.

On top of all the problems, Fortnite is not available to all iOS users who use the search function in the App Store. For some reason, the game can be downloaded through the direct link, yet it doesn’t appear after users search for it. However, this is likely a temporary issue that will soon be fixed by Apple.

Within a matter of months, Fortnite Battle Royale eclipsed PUBG's player count and never looked back, while around this time PUBG Corporation filed a lawsuit against Epic, believing that Fortnite infringed upon the copyright of PUBG.
