PROVIDENCE – A 4-year-old girl has died after she and her mother were struck by a vehicle in Woonsocket, R.I., earlier this week, police said Wednesday. Eliza was brought to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence with critical injuries, Oates said. She died on Tuesday evening, police said.

The 4-year-old Woonsocket girl who was hit by a car Monday morning has died, according to the Woonsocket police.

The community is mourning the loss of 4-year-old Eliza Khan, the girl struck along with her mother by a driver on Hamlet Avenue.

A 4-year-old girl and a woman were seriously injured Monday when they were struck by a car near a school in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. The pedestrians were walking on Hamlet Avenue near the Hamlet Middle School when a vehicle traveling on the road lost control of the vehicle, struck a snowbank and the pedestrians, police said.
