Players who already have Call of Duty installed will receive the Black Ops 6 preload as an automatic update to their existing install, which is similar to previous Call of Duty updates. Activision warns that the download will be larger for these players, as they're getting the new UI and Black Ops 6 at the same time.

So, the plan is to release the new Call of Duty 2025 maps with remastered maps from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 when the game launches. But if these rumors are true, it certainly sounds like the 2025 release will be reusing some assets from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
