Washington Commanders linebacker Frankie Luvu was not flagged for levying a big helmet-to-helmet hit on Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff. The NFL fined Luvu $16,883 for a blow to the head/neck area in the Divisional Round playoff contest at Ford Field.

In case you missed it, Goff got absolutely lit up before the Commanders' Quan Martin found the end zone. Frankie Luvu seemed to hit the quarterback in the head, but the referees didn't make a call. Quan Martin intercepted Jared Goff and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown with 5:25 left in the second quarter of the divisional playoff game at Ford Field in Detroit. On the return, Goff was knocked to the ground by Washington linebacker Frankie Luvu, whose helmet struck the lower part of Goff’s facemask.
