The United States and China have agreed to a framework that would restart last month's trade truce following two days of talks in London, negotiators announced Wednesday.

U.S. and Chinese officials said on Tuesday they had agreed on a framework to put their trade truce back on track and remove China's export restrictions on rare earths while offering little sign of a durable resolution to longstanding trade differences.

Two days of talks resulted in a “framework” meant to solidify terms of a deal that the superpowers reached in Geneva last month.
