An unprecedented run by Delta girls basketball came to an end on Saturday with a loss to Norwell in the first round of IHSAA semistates.

As for Gibson Southern, they fell in the class 4A semistate semifinal. Lawrence North was just too much for them, as they won 69-46, over the Lady Titans. Senior star Gabby Spink scored 21 in the defeat, but she still ends her heralded career, as a state champion, as the Titans won last year’s class 3A title.
