Multiple tornadoes ahead of Hurricane Milton touch down across the Treasure Coast, knocking down trees, damaging property in Fort Pierce, Stuart, Vero Beach.

A tornado was spotted in Vero Beach after catastrophic damage was reported in Fort Pierce, Florida on Wednesday. This comes as Hurricane Milton spawned several twisters in the state. The storm is just over 100 miles from coast and only few hours away from landfall.

After 24 hours since Hurricane Milton made landfall, Florida Power and Light reports that power has been restored to 129,990 customers who experienced outages while 73,050 are currently without power on the Treasure Coast.

After rapidly intensifying to a rare Category 5 hurricane followed by a gradual weakening to a Category 3 in the Gulf of Mexico, the eye of Milton made landfall at about 8:30 p.m.
