Prince William opened up on the Apple Fitness+ podcast ‘Time to Walk’ about what happens behind closed doors at the royal family’s annual Christmas morning church service at St. Mary Magdalene on the grounds of the Sandringham estate.

News Corp columnist Angela Mollard believes the Royal Family’s Sandringham Christmas walk showed “solidarity” among the members despite a hard year with family tensions and medical diagnoses.

The British monarchy kept some beloved holiday traditions alive this year, including its annual Christmas Day stroll. In a break from tradition, however, the family's holiday message was delivered from a hospital chapel with King Charles striking a personal note,

King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and more royals walked to church this morning together.

While in recent decades the Windsors have spent Christmas at Sandringham in Norfolk, the royals have a long history of celebrating Christmas at Windsor Castle. During the war, the late Queen spent the holiday there with her family, famously staging pantomimes each year in an attempt to keep morale high.

Princess Charlotte made the traditional walk to Christmas services at Sandringham, and royal observers were very impressed by how she conducted herself.
