KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee starting wide receiver Squirrel White is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal. The news was first reported by On3’s Pete Nakos. White became a fan favorite in Knoxville, hauling in 131 passes for 1,665 yards and six touchdowns in three seasons.

Florida State is adding a productive and explosive veteran wide receiver to the roster. On Sunday, Tennessee wide receiver transfer Squirrel White announced he was continuing his college career in Tallahassee.

Florida State added a speedy and experienced slot receiver out of the portal, landing former Tennessee receiver Squirrel White.

Squirrel White had 131 receptions in three seasons for Tennessee football. But his production dropped in 2024 as the passing attack grew stagnant.

According to 247Sports, junior wide receiver Squirrel White became the fifth Tennessee wide receiver to enter the NCAA transfer portal following the regular season. The 5-foot-10, 167-pound wide receiver appeared in 38 games for the Vols from 2022-24. He recorded 131 receptions for 1,665 yards and six touchdowns.
