Linda Yaccarino, the former NBCUniversal executive who agreed to run Elon Musk’s X platform, is stepping down after around two years on the job, announcing her departure from the CEO role after a disastrous day for the platform’s artificial intelligence bot.

Yaccarino posted a positive message Wednesday about her tenure at the company formerly known as Twitter and said “the best is yet to come as X enters a new chapter with” Musk’s artificial intelligence company xAI,

In the nearly three years since Musk acquired Twitter, the social-media platform has endured mass firings; an advertiser exodus; and, of late, antisemitic posts by its AI chatbot, Grok.
