The Academy said it will be moving in a new direction as far as music selections go and doing away with live performances of the best original song nominees.

Performers for the 2025 Oscars have been announced, including "Wicked" co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande and more.

While fans initially speculated that Lisa, Doja Cat, and Raye would be performing their new song “Born Again,” the Academy went ahead and shut this down on Twitter, writing "Not 'Born Again!' But still legendary. Stay tuned.'

Doja Cat, Lisa of Blackpink, Queen Latifah and Raye also will perform on the telecast. Wicked ’s Oscar-nominated stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo will perform on Sunday’s Oscars, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Doja Cat, Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, LISA of Blackpink, Queen Latifah and RAYE have been announced as musical performers for this year’s 97th Annual Academy Awards. The Academy says they will participate in “showstopping performances celebrating the filmmaking community and some of its legends at the 97th Oscars”.

Six powerhouse women – Doja Cat, Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, LISA of BLACKPINK, Queen Latifah and Raye – will perform at the 2025 Oscars on Sunday, March 2, at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The show also will feature a special appearance by the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

Plus: Doja Cat, LISA of Blackpink, Queen Latifah, and RAYE will also take the stage on Sunday night.
