Many times after losses this season, the Los Angeles Lakers have spoken about their failures to execute the gameplans given to them by head coach JJ Redick and the coaching staff.

JJ Redick and Joe Mazzulla revealed before Thursday's Celtics-Lakers matchup that Redick nearly joined Mazzulla's coaching staff in 2022.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves combined for 67 points as the Lakers put on a show in a dominant, 117-96 win over the rival Boston Celtics.

JJ Redick picked up arguably his biggest win in his early coaching career as the Los Angeles Laker blew out the Boston Celtics on Friday night. Redick praised the Lakers for their execution of the defensive gameplan and for good reason as they managed to hold the Celtics to only 96 points.

It marked Vanderbilt’s first NBA action since he sprained his right midfoot in the Lakers’ road win against the Boston Celtics last Feb. 1.

Saturday’s game was the forward’s first since he sprained his right midfoot in a game in Boston nearly 12 months ago, which eventually led to surgery.

The Lakers’ 118-108 win over the Warriors moved them seven games above .500 for the first time this season, with key contributions from Jarred Vanderbilt and an improving Gabe Vincent.

Anthony Davis was impressed by what he saw from Jarred Vanderbilt in his return to the Lakers' rotation on Saturday.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN, the Los Angeles Lakers have tried to acquire Walker Kessler from the Utah Jazz “many times.” The Jazz have a high asking price for the center.  Kessler has appeared in 35 games for the Jazz this season.
