J.T. Miller was a New York Ranger a long time ago. With smoke picking up around the East Palestine, Ohio native, where would he slot into the current roster?
For weeks, the New York Rangers have been involved in the rumor mill about a potential reunion with J.T. Miller. However, it might be a mistake for president and general manager Chris Drury to pull the trigger – especially when hearing some of the latest rumblings.
The New York Rangers secured a 5–0 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night, extending their point streak to nine games (6-0-3) without having suffered a regulation loss since Jan. 4. Despite the skirmish, Shesterkin completed the game with 20 saves, earning his second consecutive shutout. Alexis Lafreniere, Will Cuylle, Arthur Kaliyev, Artemi Panarin, and Rempe all scored for the Rangers. Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette brushed off the incident as part of the game.

There is obviously much more to this dramatic turnaround than No. 73, who was serving his eight-game suspension when the Rangers began to reverse their fortunes, but the fact is that the Blueshirts are 7-2-3 with Rempe in the lineup this season and are 21-4-4 with him over the past two regular seasons, 29-7-4 including the playoffs.
