Captain Salman Ali Agha made 46 as Pakistan reached 135-9 in a match reduced to 15 overs per innings after a delay for a wet outfield.

It was a massive power-hitting display by Finn Allen and Tim Seifert at the top of the order for the Kiwis, as their rapid opening partnership set up a simple chase for the hosts in this rain-shortened 15 over match.

Pakistan will have to overcome history if they are to win the T20I series against New Zealand after another defeat in the second fixture.
