The retro gaming console ranks have grown as GameStop designates the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U as retro systems.

The video game and electronics retailer made the declaration on social media — and console owners may not want to hear it.

GameStop is offering a 10% trade-in bonus for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U consoles through March 21 after officially reclassifying them as retro hardware.

Customers who trade in these consoles, their games, accessories, or other older systems get an extra 10% in store credit on top of the usual value.

For a limited time, customers will get an additional 10% in store credit when they trade in these "historic artifacts" to GameStop.
