SAN ANTONIO − Tonight’s game between Colorado and BYU in the Alamo Bowl might be the most attractive college football bowl game that is not part of the College Football Playoff. Count the reasons: It’s a prime-time Saturday night game on ABC.

BYU and Colorado both finished in a four-way tie for first place in the Big 12 standings, but neither team had the tiebreaker advantage to reach the Big 12 title game.
