Movie and television studio Alcon Entertainment on Monday sued Tesla and Warner Bros Discovery over claims they used images tied to the film “Blade Runner 2049” to promote Tesla's new autonomous cybercab.

Alcon Entertainment, the production company behind “Blade Runner 2049,” sued Tesla and CEO Elon Musk, as well as Warner Bros. Discovery, alleging they engaged in copyright infringement by using AI-generated images representing scenes from the film for the launch of Tesla’s Cybercab.

Alcon Entertainment, the Hollywood company behind “Blade Runner 2049,” said it had denied a request to use images from the movie but that Mr. Musk did so anyway.

Alcon Entertainment has named Tesla and Warner Bros. Discovery in a copyright lawsuit over AI-generated imagery from Tesla’s We, Robot event.

Let’s see how Elon Musk likes this AI-related lawsuit.
