If you own a Ford electric vehicle, avoid Tesla superchargers immediately. According to a Ford service bulletin spotted by InsideEVs, Ford EV owners should cease using the company-provided adapter for Tesla superchargers ASAP.

Ford has issued a bulletin urging people to stop using its Tesla Supercharger adapter. It says the adapter, which hooks Ford EVs up to any NACS charger, has an issue that risks reducing charging speed or even damage the port.

Ford has issued an urgent bulletin advising EV owners to immediately stop using Tesla Supercharger adapters provided by the company.

Ford recently sent out free charging adapters to help EV customers transition to Tesla's NACS "Supercharger" standard. The automaker now says that some of these adapters are faulty and must be replaced.

Some Ford owners are being told to stop using their Tesla Supercharger adapter until a replacement can be shipped.

Ford's EV customers gained access to Tesla's supercharger network using the adapters in February 2024, and many other EV manufacturers shortly followed.
