Season 1 of the hit team-based PvP shooter game, Marvel Rivals, is almost here. NetEase just announced that the first season will launch on January 10, bringing an expanded roster to the game with the introduction of all four superheroes from The Fantastic Four. However, some leaks recently surfaced which came as an unpleasant surprise to fans.

Some players argue that Marvel Rivals' Hawkeye's strong abilities need to be nerfed, but there are a few valid points against doing so.

Leakers say Marvel Rivals is taking some big swings at balancing the game in Season 1, with Hela and Hawkeye in the crosshairs for a nerf.

Marvel Rivals players ask NetEase Games to nerf Hawkeye in a future update, as they feel the character is unfair and makes the game less fun.

While Cloak and Dagger have been popular in season zero, they have now been buffed to align better with the likes of Mantis and Luna Snow—especially with a boost to the ultimate ability, which now has four dashes upon use, and increased switch times between each form.

Earlier this week, NetEase said Marvel Rivals season 1 patch would target key heroes for nerfs and buffs, including dominant long-range duelists Hela and Hawkeye. Turns out that was just the tip of the iceberg: the upcoming patch will nerf or buff a total of 24 heroes (over two-thirds of the roster) and adjust several seasonal bonuses.
