After winning the President’s Trophy as the NHL’s top team in 2023-24 — and failing to turn it into a Stanley Cup championship — the New York Rangers are not getting any younger as they continue to chase an elusive ring.

The New York Rangers emerged as Stanley Cup champions, defeating the Edmonton Oilers in seven games as the Oilers fall one-game short again. Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin took home the Vezina and Conn Smythe Trophies. The Boston Bruins and Nashville Predators each had successful seasons, both ultimately losing in the Conference Finals.
