Zion Williamson scored 22 points to go along with six rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block in his return from a 27-game injury absence.

Williamson put on a show, but the Pelicans dropped to a Western Conference-worst 7-30 with a loss to the Timberwolves.

It wasn’t enough though as the Pelicans fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-97 Tuesday night at Smoothie King Center. The Pelicans (7-30) were hoping Williamson’s return could keep the momentum going from the past four days when the team won back-to-back games for just the second time this season.
