The U.S. Department of Justice has launched a review and evaluation of the 1921 race massacre in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke said.

Solomon-Simmons and his team gathered Monday afternoon at the Greenwood Cultural Center to share the news on the survivors' lawsuit against the City of Tulsa, which was dismissed earlier this year by the Oklahoma Supreme Court.

The racist 1921 attack killed more than 300 Black people and destroyed a thriving business district known as "Black Wall Street"
