AMC Stubs Insider members who see at least 8 movies will gain the new Premiere GO! status without having to pay a $17.99 per year fee

AMC Entertainment is adding a new level with added perks to its free Stubs Insider loyalty program for members who see at least 8 movies – or earn at least 5,000 AMC Stubs points — in a calendar year.

AMC Stubs Insiders (that’s the free, entry-level AMC Stubs tier) who see at least eight movies or earn at least 5,000 AMC Stubs points in a calendar year will be upgraded to a new tier, AMC Theatres announced on Thursday: AMC Stubs Premiere GO!

Encouraging moviegoers to return to the multiplex via reward programs has long been a key and increasing driver of revenues for major exhibitors. By introducing a new free loyalty tier to its AMC Stubs program, AMC is looking to reward audiences for the number of cinema tickets purchased or points accumulated, rather than paying a membership fee.

AMC Theatres' popcorn bucket for Captain America 4 has been revealed. Captain America: Brave New World opens in United States theaters next month. The film is the fourth entry in Marvel Studios' Captain America franchise and will see Anthony Mackie reprise his role as Sam Wilson/Captain America.
