Nissan will be hopping on the boat with Ford Motor Company, BMW, and American Honda in a joint venture to improve electric vehicle charging, according to AutomotiveNews and official releases from BMW and Nissan.

Nissan is coming aboard vehicle-to-grid (V2G) EV integration company ChargeScape as an equal investor alongside founding automakers BMW, Ford, and Honda. Once the investment transaction is complete, Nissan said it plans to roll out ChargeScape’s services to its electric vehicle customers in the US and Canada.

Nissan is joining ChargeScape, the alliance created by three of its competitors: Ford Motor Co., American Honda Motor Co. and BMW.

Nissan has entered into an agreement to invest in ChargeScape, a joint venture equally owned by BMW, Ford and Honda focused on electric vehicle-grid integration. Once the transaction is complete, Nissan will become an equal 25% investor in ChargeScape and will roll out ChargeScape's services to its EV drivers across the U.

Nissan Motor announced on Monday that it will invest in ChargeScape, an electric vehicle (EV) battery charging technology company. While the investment amount remains undisclosed, Nissan will acquire a 25% stake in the firm,
