Ed Sheeran slammed rumors that he was one of the attendees at Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling's New Year's Eve party at her estate. Sheeran also corrected a story about performing for wounded IDF soldiers in the same post.

Global pop star Ed Sheeran has debunked rumors of him going to a New Year's Eve party hosted by Harry Potter author JK Rowling.

The musician took to his Instagram Story, and later tweeted a screenshot of the same thing, on Jan. 21 where he addressed a tweet from broadcaster India Willoughby that insinuated that Sheeran was associated with the Israeli military and spent New Year’s Eve at a party hosted by J.K. Rowling.

Ed took to social media to clarify a couple of things on Wednesday — including a widespread report that he “brought joy to wounded IDF soldiers.”

Ed Sheeran has called reports saying he attended a New Year’s Eve party hosted by J.K. Rowling “divisive and damaging”. Rowling held a party at Killiechassie House in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, attended by members of U2 and The Pretenders as well as Daniel Craig.
