India and Pakistan have extended agreement on Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor for another five years, amid some initial signs of a thaw in relations

The agreement that allows visa-free travel for Indian pilgrims to visit Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara in Pakistan via the Kartarpur Corridor has been renewed until 2029. The pact was signed between the two countries in October 2019,

India and Pakistan have renewed the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor agreement for five years. The corridor allows Indian devotees to visit the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan.

India, Pakistan have agreed to extend the validity of the Agreement on the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor for an additional 5 years. The Agreement, signed on 24 October 2019, facilitated pilgrimages from India to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Pakistan.

India and Pakistan have agreed to keep the Kartarpur Corridor open for another five years, allowing Indian pilgrims to visit Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara in Pakistan. However, India couldn't get Pakistan to waive the service fee for pilgrims.

This decision will ensure the continued operation of the corridor, enabling Indian pilgrims to visit the sacred Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Pakistan

Days after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's visit to Pakistan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation or SCO meeting, India and Pakistan on Tuesday agreed to renew the agreement on the Kartarpur corridor for another five years.

The Government of Pakistan has announced the renewal of Kartarpur Corridor agreement for an additional period of five years. According to a Foreign Office statement, the agreement between India and Pakistan is aimed to facilitate the pilgrims to visit Gurudwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur at Narowal in Pakistan.
