James carries this injury into an offseason filled with decisions. One of them being whether he wants to return for a 23rd season. During the recent episode of his "Mind The Game" podcast, James admitted he has not spoken to his family yet about his looming retirement decision.

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were unable to get out of the first round of the NBA Playoffs. They were ousted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in just five games and weren't able to put up much of a fight.

LeBron James has a player option to return to the Los Angeles Lakers next season. The four-time MVP and four-time Finals MVP turns 41 in December.  James can decline his 2025-26 player option and become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
