Donald Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to announce that he had a two-hour phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The president of France, Emmanuel Macron, stated that the Kremlin leader, Vladimir Putin, will have to show today that he wants peace, according to a post by the French leader on the social media platform X.

Following the phone call with the Russian president, President Trump described the conversation as excellent and said negotiations between Ukraine and Russia will begin immediately.
