Former second gentleman Doug Emhoff said Tuesday he had been dismissed from the board of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum by President Donald Trump's administration.

In response to his removal from the Holocaust Memorial Council, former second gentleman Doug Emhoff said Holocaust remembrance "should never be politicized."

The Trump administration dismissed former second gentleman Doug Emhoff and other Biden-era appointees from the board that oversees the US Holocaust Memorial Museum on Tuesday, sources familiar with the matter said.
