Will Ferrell slipped on something from the very back of his closet for a recent Los Angeles Kings vs. Philadelphia Flyers hockey game, with the actor revisiting his iconic Buddy the Elf costume more than 20 years after Elf premiered Sunday (Dec. 29).

We all remember when Will Ferrell played the iconic character of Buddy in Elf who ventured from the North Pole to New York City to find his biological father. With no Elf sequel anytime soon, it’s only natural to wonder how Buddy is doing right now.

Last night, comedian and actor Will Ferrell was spotted at the Los Angeles Kings game dressed as his character Buddy the Elf from the classic Christmas movie Elf. .. but he wasn’t his normal cheery self. Ferrell was in his front row seat seen in full costume, with an (unlit) cigarette in his mouth, also drinking a beer.
