Jun 25, 2020 · Sadly after the DLC I got so gud (or over-leveled 😅) that the rest one to three bosses weren't that difficult anymore. The human sized one (if you know, you know) was still challenging but after the DLC experience totally manageble. Propably it is intended to set a new difficulty level for players who have beaten the main game before.

Dec 19, 2022 · As for NG+ and beyond, especially at NG+6, it will make things incredibly difficult, even with 99 in all stats you will struggle in the DLC, it is scaled for end game and at level 544, that is the end game for NG+6, bosses are extremely unrelenting and deal massive damage, it is no longer about level, but your skills.

For what it's worth, the official guide calls for level 80, which is a respectable level to be at if you do the entire main game except for the post-Micolash parts of the Nightmare of Mensis (which is about where you should do the DLC if you are following in-game progression).
