Dec 2, 2024 · Sam Simpson (pictured) has joined East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust as its director of finance, replacing Michelle Brown, who retired in September. Charlotte Henson, who has been filling the role on an interim basis, has now moved back to her role as operational director of finance for the trust.

Sam is currently the Interim Director of Strategic Finance for NHS England North West. Previously Sam was the Chief Finance Officer for NHS Greater Manchester (GM), which is the Integrated Care Board established on 1st July 2022.
