If “ActBlue” said you needed to pay for a third party in order to cancel recurring donations you were not talking to the actual ActBlue. Setting up and cancelling recurring donations are core functions for that kind of nonprofit. In fact I just looked at ActBlue’s website and they have clear instructions on how to stop a recurring charge.

Aug 26, 2022 · I have donated to Republicans through WinRed. I’ve also donated to Democrats through ActBlue. For some reason, I don’t get flooded with texts from ActBlue. This week alone, since Monday (it’s now Saturday) I have received 76 text messages from WinRed and it’s just mid-day. It’ll easily be over 80 by the end of the day.
