Dec 3, 2024 · DeX offers a more distinct separation and provides a true PC-like experience compared to Link to Windows. I've disabled updates on my phone for now and plan to avoid updating to One UI 7 for as long as possible because DeX for PC is my favorite feature.

With the arrival of OneUI 7, Samsung is scrapping support for Dex for Windows. This is apparently a much bigger take-away than Samsung realizes. What I don't think Samsung truly appreciates is that many of us use Dex for Windows to encapsulate a home computing environment and use it at work, rather than using Dex as a work or productivity tool.

Feb 25, 2022 · My new Galaxy S22 ultra with Samsung Dex is not connecting to Windows PC using USB cable. The only option available is Wireless to PC. My Windows PC recognizes and opens my Galaxy S22 ultra via USB, but Samsung DEX only activates using the Wireless to PC option (Wireless WiFi is automatically activated and the USB cable becomes unnecessary).

Nov 4, 2021 · that would drive me nuts: I had no change in DeX behavior after the initial move from 3.0 to 4.0 beta 1. I wondered if it would force me to start all over, but it didn't. It remembered not only the size of the windows, but their place on the display when opened. I'm hard-wired through a hub, not wirelessly charging and using a bluetooth monitor.
