When the tides flow against the wind, conditions get rough in the Bay of Fundy. Some parts of the bay see a tidal range of up to 53 feet. While out on the lobstering shoot during my workshop, we had a flood tide pushing water against a northeast wind. It got pretty choppy in a few of the tidal rips near West Quoddy Light off Lubec, Maine.
